Questions

After an early start and the youngest heading back on an adventure we headed off in the warm sunshine towards the river. Choosing between the two sides of the river meant choosing between the natural and man made environment. The viaduct is so incredible and such an iconic image, another relic of a long lost time that I wanted to capture as much as possible on the panorama. I wonder if we are capable of building such a structure now, would it be straight? Will the bricks and cement stand the test of time, weather and the weight of the trains ? Who would want to do this heavy manual work now? It certainly dominates the landscape and reaches down to the town like an over arching protective arm.
