Little Eye

Today we got up early and drove under the Mersey Tunnel to get to the marine lake at West Kirby for 9.30am.

Then a walk over the sands of the Dee Estuary that separates England from Wales.

20 minutes walking brings you to the first island, Little Eye. Another 20 to Middle Hilbre and finally to Hilbre Island proper, where we watched the seals play in the surf.
