Today is St Georges Day, also Shakespeare's birthday, and day of his death, born in 1564, died 1616.  The town is decked out with the flags of many countries and was closed off yesterday for the annual Shakespeare  parade.  We missed that being with friends in Derby but we had a look at the flags today. I've included a picture in the extras (unfortunately there wasn't much breeze or fluttering of flags).

The main picture is the wysteria outside Marie Corelli's house, now the Shakespeare Institute part of Birmingham University.
