A day of chat

In the morning at Socrates Cafe we discussed what should be the priority of a life, why we need the word 'four' when we have the symbol '4' and something on the nature of nationalism in the context of imagined communities as defined by sale or genuineness (I'm paraphrasing them all, especially the last). We were eleven today, with a couple of brand new people and a couple of others who have only been a few times before. More than we've had for quite  awhile and a lively discussion.
After that I met my Polish friend J, visiting for the weekend down from Dundee. We had a wide ranging chat in a cafe on into the afternoon. This city skyline was taken on my way to catch the bus back to Porty.
