An Aga at last

I've always wanted an Aga, and now I have one (of sorts). I saw this in the boot of Sally's car on Friday amongst her collection of bits and pieces for the charity shop, and made my claim.

After a lovely hotel breakfast of eggs benedict and pain au chocolat I returned home from Darcie's mockingbird party. There I was greeted by Mr hazelh and his parents, who are staying with us this weekend.

I've been rather tired after yesterday's exploits, so this afternoon I retired to my room to listen to Radio 4. I really enjoyed the two plays by Harold Pinter and Joan Bakewell about their affair in the 1970s.

Katharine joined us for supper this evening. Mr hazelh treated us to two of his specialities: lobster thermidor and lemon meringue pie.

No exercise today.
