Early morning walk

Not so early these days, as the sun doesn't get up til late.  However, today was the second of two perfect days, warm and sunny with little wind.  I walked up through  the John Britten Reserve, following the rocky outcrops along the ridge.  Then across the road, up Broadleaf Lane to the top of the hill with a view down into Lyttelton Harbour.  

I should have taken a camera, as the phone didn't do justice to the light this morning.  I thought it would be too contrasty as the sky was totally clear, but at this time of year there is beginning to be a short period of golden light before the sun gets too high in the sky.
