Write on a banana

Runhills has beaten me to the question before I posted my write-up of today's blip.
While listening to Radio Lancashire this morning I heard about this idea of writing on a banana with a ball point pen.
It was described as being fun and therapeutic.

So I tried it and it is!

I first tried it one the other side of the banana and wrote the route of tonight's torch procession that is taking place in Preston as part of The Guild.
You should have seen the volunteer's face as I wrote on the banana!

The blip is a suggestion to give it a go.

At the end of our lessons we are asked to ask our learners to write down something they have learned.
If they write it on a banana they are sure to see it again before they eat the banana.
So I help my learners with retaining knowledge, and their 5 a day. I wonder if there is a budget I can access :)

Not a great game of football this afternoon and a very different set of announcements as I announced a birth, a birthday and, sadly, the death of a supporter. I also announced the loss of a hat!
You will sleep easier knowing he got it back!

I am now in front of the TV for the final night of athletics in The Olympic Stadium. It was a bigger draw than The Guild in the end. I don't think we will ever see The Olypmics and Paralympics again in this country. There's another Preston Guild in 20 years.

Tomorrow Shelly Woods goes for the so-far-elusive medal over what I believe is her best distance, while David Weir goes for his 4th Gold
