50 Not Out!

Had a late walk in our local park.  Interesting to see rugby being played on one pitch and a cricket match within 100 yards.  I just caught the end of the first innings and as this batsmen struck another 4 in the final over the supporters started clapping.  I assume it was a 50!

Many years ago the first weekend of the cricket season was always a moment to look forward to.  It marked the end of the 'dark' winter period.  Before marriage and when still living at home this would be the start of 5 months of playing cricket twice a weekend (barring rain stopped play).  It seems a very long time ago.
