Jamming morris men
What a beautiful day!
Abingdon has its heritage open days this weekend and it's a once a year opportunity to visit buildings not normally open to the public.
My favourite town crier was at work again - this time calling aloud from the top of County Hall Museum.
I took quite a few photos of various buildings - including some from the back garden of Abingdon's famed Long Alley Almshouses built in 1446. I've only ever seen them from the front garden before; they looked absolutely stunning in the sunshine.
In the end though I've opted for this happy scene of our local morris dancers relaxing after performing around the town. They were having an impromptu music session with whistles, fiddles, accordions and a banjo (just visible far left).
