C & I plus N R & Z met up with Delia & her daughter Gemma today. We'd chosen to meet at the White Hart in Beaconsfield which, by its location seemed like it ought to be ok. Unfortunately we were mistaken and the food was grotty. The best part of my meal was the soup starter. We ate the main course & left....

We reconvened at a Garden Centre down the road where we indulged in coffee & cake - very very nice. It was here that D & G belatedly gave Zak his birthday present & card. It was a tricycle which unfortunately needed to be constructed. So whilst we were eating & drinking R put it together...wow what a fabulous thing. Of course the boy loved it and it caused much amusement to the cafe staff at the garden centre.

After an hour or so we bade our farewells and N R & Z & D & G set off home. We drove to the centre of High Wycombe as C wanted a quick look around one of the shops. Surprisingly she didn't buy anything !

A grey cloudy start which quickly turned into a beautiful sunny day. It was a good catch-up - it was just a shame about the food.
