Flower School

An exciting day at the Covent Garden Flower Academy.  I am on a three day floristry taster course, spread over three saturdays.  Today was the first day.  It was an early start on the train to London but the weather was glorious - clear blue sky and all the birds singing in the woodland.  Today in the school we made a topiary tree and some button-holes (see Extras), both the kinds of items you might make for a wedding or some other special occassion.  Its been really refreshing to go and do something completely different. Floristry is something I have wanted to try for a long time.
