St George's Celebration Day

The lad is quite shy and doesn't like to be the centre of attention. He went to the park for the St George's Day Parade with instructions to text me when they were ready to march. I'm at the front he said, nothing else. We watch the band pass, the Mayor and Mayoress, the Scout District Commissioner then we realise he's right behind them carrying the Union Jack flag, nearly missed him. He'd been chosen by his Explorer Scout Leader, who then also volunteered him to work on the coconut shy at the Scout Funday! Extra is the restored bandstand being used for the ceremony.
