Over to Luing
We went across to the island of Luing today (pronounced Ling) to visit the new Atlantic Islands centre. It's amazing to have such a lovely island so close to Oban - we just have to drive through the island of Seil, which is accessible via a bridge, and take the 6-car ferry across the Sound of Luing to Luing itself.
We had a bit of an explore down to the south end of the island at Toberonochy, and stopped to investigate the old graveyard at Kilchattan, with its ruined 12th century chapel. This is my Blip for today. It looks out over the sea and fields of daisies! My extra today is a derelict boat on the beach at Toberonochy.
We then went to Cullipool to look at the centre and enjoyed tea and cakes! Altogether a lovely island. No time to say more as we're going out for a meal tonight, as our two daughters are with us, but I might add more later!
