Le Bon Marché

Full of history: Founded in 1838, the current store built with the help from Gustave Eiffel, the first ever modern department store and changed the way of shopping since then. Even today not a normal store: Products (from upper class to extraordinary), Prices (ouch), Pleasure to walk around and that's free!

Today we moved by Vélib (the Paris bike system) and by walking. In general we had the impression that the city was quite calm, calmer than usual on Saturdays. In one of our favourite cafés only two tables were occupied this afternoon.

Soon the voting for the first round of the French president election will start.
