Colour at home

Every year this rhododendron in our courtyard is a spectacle and every year it is the subject of several blips. I make no apology. It is a special rhodo for us, a gift to commemorate an event, and we cherish it. It has been in the same tub for very many years but seems to survive with regular watering and soil acidifier.
It is still cold and dry outside. I did some deadheading, but didn't stay out long. I'm a fair weather gardener.
