Plitvice Lakes

This photo does NOT do the lakes justice. The Plitvice Lakes national park are north of Zadar in Croatia and they are incredible! The water is azure and turquoise (although it was grey and cloudy so not as brilliant as when the sun shines) and there are millions of waterfalls and lots of lakes to walk around. I got the bus up there at 8.30am and returned at around 7pm, having walked about 8 miles through the park.

Definitely recommended! Even if there are so many tourists that it feels a bit like Ikea.
