The Gap

One of the best landscape photographers in Wales is Alyn Wallace who specialises in Astrophotography and landscapes mostly taken in the Brecon Beacons. He's only a young lad but has quite a following.

I met up with him in Brecon Beacons National Park Centre (a dark sky reserve) but it was extremely cloudy and a bit of a non show as far as astro photography was concerned.

Hoping that the coast might be clearer, we headed to Southerndown which was slightly better for half hour, and then went completely cloudy! I only took a couple of photo's of which the blipfoto is the best. It's a view along the cliffs towards Porthcawl showing some stars in a gap in the clouds.
I've lit up the foreground to reveal the rock fissures.

I'm going to meet up with him again tonight about 12.30am so hopefully we'll have a bit more luck!
