Surfers Paradise in the rain!

Today was our last in Surfers Paradise.  The weather has gradually been declining so it is time to go.  Mr MC and I prepared ourselves for tomorrow's very long travel time by having a second hot oil body massage each: very relaxing.
This evening we had another big family BBQ down by the pool area, giving us a chance to eat up all our left overs.  Just as we were preparing to say our goodbyes, the heavens opened and we had torrential rain  for 30 minutes!  We were able to shelter under the large sun parasols (!) until it stopped enough for us to dash to the main building.
We shall meet up again with the Aussie part of our family next July, when there will be another family wedding in the UK.  Always hard to say goodbye though.
