Tea with Chicks

These little beauties are a week old today.. and vocal they certainly were!!  I met a friend for tea in a farmyard cafe that has only been open since last May and these little ones were under a lamp in the fireplace and shouting for some food.  They are going out from this cosy habitation tomorrow into the hen house but l think they will quickly regret that.. it is freezing outside compared to this des res!!
Took a walk through a bluebell wood this afternoon and without sunshine they are not at their best yet.. but the beginnings of a good show of them is under way.  Flossie found something tasty to roll in.. ugh.. fortunately the area was very dusty so the smelly thing didnt really get stuck on her coat.. lucky really since she and l spent the next hour in the car together!!
