Eucalyptus

This is not a very interesting picture and not the best quality, but it does mark a special occasion. 

The little white cotton bud right under Biscuit's nose smells of Eucalytus and Biscuit is touching it with his nose, to show me where it is. This is great as it is only the 2nd time Biscuit is searching for Eucalyptus in his Nose Work training. 

In Nose Work, the dogs learn to search for a specific odor or odors and find the source. So far Biscuit has only been searching for Lavender, which is the first odor that you present a new Nose Work dog for. Last time he did Nose Work, he started on the 2nd odor, which is Eucalyptus and I could tell already today, that he recognized the smell and he marked it with a nose touch, when he found it. Clever little sheltie man <3
