the town of Bidar

went on a motorcycling trip to a nearby town (about 140 kms away). 10 bikes in all - 20 people...sounds like fun? :)
The town is pretty old with almost no touch of modernization (at least the parts we saw) Lot of old dilapidated architecture - mosques, temples, a famous gurudwara. there's fort in the city which is quite big and beautiful. We rode our motorbikes on the red soil trails inside the fort. There was a cave temple where you have to wade through chest deep water for about 200 meters to reach the shrine. The cave is fairly dark and and full of small bats and cockroaches. Definitely not for the hydrophobics and claustrophobics.
we were back in the city by evening and decided to hit a movie right away. Had to get past peak city traffic. The 280 km ride was fine but this 15km in the city traffic is what gave me a pain.
