Cousins up a Tree
Having completely forgotten about dog training last week (as a result of it being the holidays, me not getting out of bed until about 10am and all the days running into one another and me not really knowing that it was Tuesday!!) I was pleased that we actually managed to get there this morning.
Miss L stayed in the car listening to Harry Potter and Miss E did the class with me and Archie. In fact she did almost everything with Archie by herself and was giddy that he was really good for her.
From there it was a mad dash to the dry cleaners to pick up Miss E's blazer (then a dash back to the car to get cash as the stupid dry cleaner didn't take less than £10 on cards. Grrrrrr!!!!), then a dash home to pick up a couple of letters to drop off at Miss L's school before tomorrow, then a dash to school and a dash back to the rugby club to meet Mrs L and Mr T for a walk to the pub for lunch.
That was a lot of dashing around before 11.30am!
We had a lovely walk. It was a bit colder than it had felt with all the dashing about and sitting in the toasty warm sunny car but it was gorgeous to be out.
As usual there was tree climbing in the woods and crawling over streams on fallen trees.
When we got to the pub the woman was outside cutting the hedge and said they were closed. Because they were open yesterday for Bank Holiday when they're normally closed!!
I was desperate for the loo so begged the woman to let me in for a minute.
She did and then kindly said we could have some drinks if we wanted. Yay!!!
So we sat in the sun drinking lemonade and diet coke, and watching the children eat mini eggs. Lovely!
Another car full of people turned up and asked for drinks too which made us feel a bit bad! But the woman didn't seem to mind and it meant she was getting paid to cut the hedge!
Mrs L and Mr T came back to ours for an hour or so before heading home. A few bites of sandwiches and much bouncing on the trampoline!!
Once they'd gone the Little Misses got the sprinkler inflatable thing out and had a mad half hour turning my garden into a mud pit and Archie into a bedraggled rat! (see extras)
