Abstract Thursday - AT95
Monochrome
When the Venetian blinds in the kitcken are closed they reflect as black and white bands in any water in the sink.
My plan was to get a distorted view of the bands when the surface of the water was disturbed.
I couldn't use flash without killing the reflection but because of the low light, I was on a fairly slow shutter speed (1/13 sec).
Sometimes after a drip had splashed into the baking tray, one or two beads of water sat still for a moment before breaking the surface tension and re-joining the main body of water.
This image is still very much as it was taken. After cropping, I adjusted the contrast using curves and applied a sharpening. Finally flipped the image and rotated 90 degrees before presentation. Original in 'extras' for comparison.
