Nature, Red in Tooth and Claw

Not once but twice today I went out to the back garden to find a fledgling backbird injured on the lawn. This is the first one, that survived long enough for me to get it to the vets. The second one didn't make it :-(

I was pretty sure that Henry had something to do with the first one, a theory bolstered by the fact that I caught him with the second one in his mouth.
