Hiroshima No More
The cherry blossom was sweeping northwards and eastwards and so were we. We took a last look around a coolish but beautiful Hiroshima before taking a seat on the Nozomi 36 train to Kyoto. Lunch was Japanese finesse in Tosho Restaurant. Being the only westerners in the place, we got preferential treatment and a seat by the window rather than a tatami mat in the centre of the room. It was full of genteel "Ladies who Lunch" and Cathie would have felt quite at home in the place, though the Tofu based, seaweed encrusted food might have caused some interest.
Kyoto was only an overnight stop before travelling further East and into the wilderness of the Kumano Kodo, so we had a carry out and movie night - no Ganges curry though, just some Japanese tempura based nibbles and Asahi Super Dry.
