Blackened tree roots exposed

by lack of water in marshes this year.
Etang de Boulet usually surrounded by marshes and their vegetation but water very low this year. No rain for weeks and so vegetation is changing. I couldn't climb down off wooden walkways but​ Marley was intrigued and went down to photograph.
I'm still hobbling slowly around with one crutch.
