'New Zealand Fur Seal'

Had a great night at Hanmer Springs last night. With the 2 hour time difference between Melbourne and NZ last nights Qualifying final didn't start until 9:45pm, I only managed to stay up until half time listening to the game on my mobile phone. Hawks were up by a few goals, but I couldn't stay awake to see out the final half. Had a nice surprise in the morning to fing out we beat the maggies by 38 points, straight into the prelim final in 2 weeks time. Woo Hoo.

Dylan got car sick on the drive to Kaikoura this morning with only about 3 bends to go before we got back to the straight roads just out of town. All I can say is thanks to this mornings newspaper we managed to avoid a major disaster inside the car. He has sat in the front seat alongside me from that point on to avoid a repeat performance.

Dissapointment ay Kaikoura today as the seas were too rough for the whale watching as the wind was blowing a gale. Nice fish & chips for lunch though.

We headed north and stopped at Ohau Point to see the fur seals, what a beaut spot, now all Bella keeps calling herself is 'I'm a baby seal'.

Made it up to Picton at around 4:15pm and checked into out room. It looks like it's been raining here all day, and it is continuing to fall.

Hopefully tomorrow we may have a chance to catch up with some fellow NZ blippers from Murchison.
