Sheer joy
Katie has been out for the day today and has been fit to burst for the entire day as a consequence.
I gave her a massage with oat milk and then bicarb paste last night, sending her to bed with thick calamine and the difference in her spots today is amazing. She has been full of it.
She woke up next to me and looked at me. Her eyes lit up and she said "B!!!! My B!!!" She jumped out of bed delighted at the prospect of seeing her this morning. She did though then get back into bed and snuggle to listen again to the concerto she'd fallen asleep to last night.
The morning was then spent with "her B". Katie had a double lesson. She did so well to say how excited she was to show B everything and how focussing took a lot still. It was a seven sticker day in fact! We then had a cup of tea and crispie cakes & a natter. I had a lesson then & katie watched three episodes of strawberry shortcake. We love holiday lessons.
When we got back home, I packed katie straight in the car and went to gather her stuff. She went for an afternoon at the family fun day at the races whilst I went to work. She had a brilliant time!! She near enough burst at being free, as her face shows in this photo so well. I got a message to say that her and Lydi were absolutely hyper. Most so katie, I reckon. Emma said they were inseparable all day and that katie hasn't stopped eating. They got extremely good value for money out of the free rides and bouncy castle. Katie's choice of horse came in twice and she got to share "the trophy cookie" with Ian. Despite an afternoon full of joyful hyper bouncing, when they dropped her off she and lydi still ran away to hide in a bid to not be parted!
When eventully we had each gotten our child back, Katie came in and almost immediately got in her jammies and into bed. We watched the end of a terrible but fun film on Netflix and she curled up with the monkeys to sleep well before 7. Happpy happppppy girl. And very happy mama to see her so delighted to be free!
