Home from school...

My gorgeous grandsons return from school. James is already taking off his shoes - he has a lightning turnaround to change into his goalie strip, eat and get out to an exhibition match against Crystal Palace academy hopefuls. Alan can take his time - he doesn't need to be out for another hour yet.

London is already a difficult place to live - in the eyes of this country bumpkin at least - but I'm overcome by the amount of effort parents put in to keep their children in the training process that makes such a difference to them. Hat tip to the often maligned soccer mums - and dads!
