Maple Seeds aka Whirligigs

My sister and I used to call these signs of Spring whirligigs.  I was attracted to these in my yard this year because they seem to be so pink.  I won't like them in a few weeks when they result in thousands of tiny little trees to have to remove from the flower beds.
