Blossom time
Overcast. A touch chilly.
But the blossom is at its most spectacular.
These trees are outside the Garden Centre Car Park at Trentham Gardens. They are on the opposite side of the stream in the restored Italian Garden.
I was lucky with the M6 and arrived early at our meeting point before my great friend arrived from the opposite direction.
I wasn't very mobile today so we just chatted over coffee, had a brief wander through the shops, and then had a fantastic lunch at David's Brasserie. (We booked as we went past in the morning because it's so good it gets full quickly)
The dishes would have graced Masterchef for beauty, imagination and taste, and talking to the manager I learned that they now have a team of nine chefs, a lovely mixture of experienced Italian, Croatian and Polish chefs, and youngsters from the local area. My kind of place.
