Look What Mum Bought Me For Easter!!

We have had a BIG secret for a few weeks!  Mum wouldn't let me tell anyone until now!  Mum bought me a CAMPERVAN!!  For Easter!  I'm not sure it was originally supposed to be for Easter, but we picked it up on Saturday, so I think it WAS my Easter present!  Remember Mum's trips to Weston-super-Mare last month?  Followed by Hayling Island, and the Isle of Wight?  Those were her 'shopping trips'.  Remember our trip to the Isle of Wight on Saturday??  THIS is what it was all about!  We went there to collect it!  Super exciting day!!

We have decided to call our new van 'Alfie'. Because he is a Toyota Alphard. He's been specially imported from Japan which is maybe why you've never heard of an Alphard. A month ago Alfie was a normal (used) passenger van with lots of seats in the back. But our wonderful new friends at Northstar Conversions on the Isle of Wight did the conversion, transforming it into a campervan!  How cool is that?  They are the BEST and did such a good job!!

Alfie has a little kitchen with a fridge and a 2-ring hob and a sink. There are a few cupboards here and there and the seat folds down to a perfectly flat bed!  There are also boards in the roof which turns that into a sleeping space too!  The front passenger seat swivels around and there are blackout curtains for sleeping.

So...yesterday we went to Mum's sister's house for Easter and surprised everyone with the Alfie!  They were super excited because they knew nothing about it!  You should have seen the looks on everyone's face!  Brilliant!  We LOVE surprises!  

Little Aneeta was very happy and she knew what this was all about because she loves Peppa Pig and there are two episodes about Peppa's family going on holiday in a campervan. Later in the afternoon Mum asked Aneeta if she liked our new car. Aneeta corrected her and said: "It's NOT a car, Auntie Heidi, it's a CAMPERVAN!!"  

We stayed overnight and slept in the van for the very first time!  In the large driveway. Very comfortable and cosy!  Before Aneeta went up to bed we asked if she'd like to join us in the morning when she woke up and we could watch the Peppa Pig campervan episodes. She thought that was a good idea and when she went to bed and had her bedtime prayers she prayed for all her normal things and then thanked God that she was going to go watch Peppa Pig with Heidi and Dolly in the morning in the campervan!  

So after we were awake for a little while we had a knock on the window and there was Aneeta ready to crawl into bed with us!  We very much enjoyed the campervan episodes...and then about 6 more!!  Aneeta can watch Peppa Pig all day!!

Finally we had a BIG Easter Bank Holiday brunch with pancakes and French Toast and fruit and bacon and sausages. It was soon time to go, but we took a few more pictures for today's blip. I am sitting in MY seat next to Mum. My travelling buddies are with me - they went with us to Sweden last year. We are all planning some exciting trips ahead!  Where shall we go next, Mum??
