Protecting the nest back blip

The canada geese nested under the osprey nest again this year. There has been a feud going on ever since. We live on a fairly good size creek. There are plenty of nice spots the geese could nest, but no, they always build the nest under the osprey and all hell breaks out. The worse thing is the tide always comes and destroys the nest and floats the eggs away.
This feude reminds me of the world and how people are always fighting over real estate. Neither make any sense. I have to side with the osprey because their nest is on a permanent pole.
