(S)Tatuary Tuesday

I've posted this statue before, but never from this angle.

2 things pop into my head.

1. The plaque in front of the statue identifies the piece as the angel Gabriel. Is it just me...or does the angel Gabriel look a little like Farah Fawcett? I don't have anything against flowing locks, but the face looks rather feminine, too.

2. What is that ring in his/her hand? Is it a mini-Frisbee, or a halo that they took off the baby (baby Jesus?) he/she is holding?

Life is a mystery...and I'm glad I'm not an art critic. ;0)
