Just to the south of Edinburgh city centre you can find Bruntsfield Links which has during the summer months a 36 short hole gold course (9 holes in the Winter). It's open for anybody to use for free with their own club and ball, or you can hire clubs and balls from the nearby Golf Tavern.

In the distance can be seen Arthur's Seat.
