Plans for a day out went out the window when I half froze on my ride and then C said she wanted a home day and a trip to the garden centre of all places! Turns out she wanted plants for the raised beds.

So mid morning we wandered up to the garden centre, looked at the plants and had a coffee to discuss what to buy and then we picked the plants.

After lunch both kids helped to plant the purchases in part of the raised beds. The extra shot is of their efforts so we can record the progress. We have given up trying to grow veg and will now just try to make them look pretty. I also managed to tidy up at bit and start the work towards removing a couple of lavender bushes, until the brown bin was full. Thankfully it gets emptied on Friday, just in time to do more next weekend.

Back to school tomorrow. It was been a good holiday, not the same as our usual time away in Lanzarote, but still good. It's gone very quickly though and the start of after school clubs and weekend commitments will make the next few weeks go quickly too.
