Growing up!

Finally reached the age for a bus pass!  Thanks to all the relations and friends who hammered home the point! 

When I started work in 1974 I was told this was the day I would get my pension.  It seemed so far in the future, the date was unimaginable, and now it's here and the date for getting my pension is still years away!  Still, I fully intend to take advantage of every concession that I come across!

I've had a lovely relaxing day - with hailstones and sleet, which is a first for my birthday - and we went and had lunch in town, as Mike was on holiday.  Special meal tomorrow night - glad rags will be unearthed!
