The traditional Easter story of a Lamb and a Goose

Went looking for Crossbills around Gladhouse Reservoir, found Swallows, Lapwings and loads of Lambs. So not all bad. Nice views at points as well (see the extra).

Once home it was back to work on the raised bed rebuilding, and with that done decided to treat Skye. She's been with us for 7 years now, which is getting on a bit for a chicken. She's survived one fox attack, 6 years ago, and has been top of the pecking order for about 5 years now. We even get an occasional egg from her. But despite being full of life, keeping the other two in check, and still chasing Isla any chance she gets, she's not quite as sprightly as she used to be. So scrap wood was thrown together to make some steps up to the evening roost. She can't jump all the way anymore, and has taken to an awkward sideways leap from the hen house. We'll see if this helps out.
