Frank

A year after we got married, D and I adopted a rescue cat called Frank. He was a beautiful grey and white, handsome cat.
The same month I found out I was pregnant with Alfie, Frank was hit by a car. He was badly injured but we had him rebuilt and pinned back together. He had to convalesce in a cage to stop him from running or jumping while he healed and D set up a web cam in the cage so that we could keep an eye on him. To cut a very long story short, frank became an internet sensation. The story appeared in newspapers all over the world, we were interviewed for magazines and D appeared on the local and national news. Franks website was accessed by people all over the world and we were inundated with letters, messages and gifts for him.
When we moved to Linton, it soon became clear that the village high st was in fact a race track and we decided that he would be safer living at the other end of the village at my parents house where has lived very happily ever since.
In recent months his health had been failing. He had thyroid problems, trouble walking, he was painfully thin.
Mum and Dad did everything they could to prolong his life and make him happy but in the last 24 hours he went downhill considerably.
We took him to the vet today who was extremely kind and professional but we knew it was the kindest thing to let him go. We stayed with him for as long as we could, kissing him and stroking him while the vet tried to get a needle into his veins. Unfortunately she had to inject his kidney in the end and we decided we couldn't watch that.
We brought him home and burried him under the laurel tree next to Stinky George the spaniel.
He was a gorgeous, feisty, brave little superstar who will be sorely missed.
Bless you Frankie x
