Silent Poetry

Nyhaven

I am being very spoiled. My son and his fiance organised a secret weekend trip away for us as our birthday treats this year. So we were up at 3.30am, on the road to the airport by 4.30am and on a plane by 7 - at which point we found out where we were going. They did very well keeping the secret that long. Shortly after 9am we touched down in Copenhagen. I've visited once before on a brief business trip and liked the city then.

One of the places I always remembered from my past visit was the canalside restaurants at Nyhaven. There's nothing quite like sitting outside with a blanket over your knees eating lunch under a cold crisp blue sky. Today was nippy, but not too cold.

I just love the colour buildings at Nyhaven so I chose to leave Marc's camera (which encroached on my shot because there were just so many people taking this picture from the bridge).
