An Oriel Window Above
This is part of 15th century Crichton Castle (see extra), a fantastic castle to explore in Midlothian, which sits on the top of one side of a large valley in a prominent position. We were in the area on anther mission but decided to have our picnic lunch here, and since we are Historic Scotland members, had a wander about in all the nooks and crannies. The stable block must be the fanciest I have ever seen, with horseshoe shaped windows (see extra)
