Pugin's bedroom

This is Augustus Pugin's bedroom in The Grange, the house he designed and built for his family in Ramsgate. It's been restored by the Landmark Trust and is usually a holiday rental (a very ecclesiastical feeling one) but was open today in honour of Heritage weekend. The wallpaper bears his family motto, "En avant". This would not be the bedroom I would choose for to stay in myself.
