And RELAX

A day of pure relaxation which is very unlike us but we decided to enjoy the natural beauty of the area we are now in.

We are in an area called Shuzenji and its so pretty with lots of hills and rushing water.  According to folklore, a Buddhist priest Kukai magically turned the rushing waters of the local river from cold to hot.  One of the oldest remaining structures in eastern Japan is the Shuzenji Temple.

What I have noticed about here though, other than the numerous hot springs, are all the dragons dotted about.

We had a good wonder about town (only 3 miles today) and decided to have lunch in a beautiful little park and once it started to rain we huddled up under covered and listened to the rain.

I have enjoyed a lovely spa treatment this afternoon and now it is time for dinner.

Tomorrow is our last full day in Japan and we head back to Tokyo for one last night.
