The Tools
You could tell that Wilma had been a youth hostel warden when she effortlessly and almost instantly rustled up a mountain of bacon rolls and gallons of tea & coffee for seven while still being fully involved in the chat and hilarity - she is a remarkable woman.
All too soon we had to leave and while I was running over to the car through the rain to put our stuff away I noticed the garden tools lying on the grass (which had not been there when we arrived ........ must have been left by the gardening fairy when the rain started during the night).
I really liked the composition of them so took the shots (see extra) because I couldn't make up my mind which orientation I liked best.
Due to the weather being rubbish we didn't make an expedition anywhere but just headed home.
Later we visited Bags & family to see how their trip to Disneyland (Paris) went.
It turned out the The Cygnet lost a tooth on the first day.
He told my it was not a French Tooth Fairy that visited though because he woke up to a pound under his pillow not a euro.
They both insisted on taking pictures of each other ..... this is the one Squirrel took and this is the one The Cygnet took. I have no idea why she was imitating The Scream!
I had to go through to Glasgow late on to collect Bags and one of her friends from a concert .......... What a pair of drunken bums!
On the way back in all the divertions that are on while the M8 gets 'sorted' we got carved up very badly on a roundabout by some pratt and ended up having to leave on the wrong exit. We didn't realise it was the wrong exit until having gone round a couple of roundabouts and over junctions and noticing there wee no Diversion signs ............. so we had to turn round.
Later, when back on route, the two lanes split and each had 3 different places on them - Edinburgh being the top on on both ............. No problem! Except that the one we were on took us through wasteland, past an industrial estate and into housing ares ....... with no further Diversion signs!!!!
Eventually I manged to get back to the motorway and even better - heading the right direction.
By this time there was silence from the back of the car. I couldn't see Bags directly behind me, but her friend was keeled over sideways, head almost on the seat, mouth wide open and fast asleep. What a sight ....... and no way to get blackmail evidence with the camera! - Damn.
She woke up as I pulled up outside her house and will no doubt not believe us about the state she was in (it turns out Bags was awake the whole time).
