Young Leaves and More

Just above our driveway, using the wide trunk of the oak in our neighbor's yard as a dark background. Here the shallow depth of focus of a long lens comes in handy (349 mm on a 100-400 mm zoom). A very quiet day--my cold regressed a bit, and Marylee came down with it late yesterday, spending much of today in bed (just as I did last Wednesday)--the worst colds for both of us in years.
