Ireland, Day 14 Terryglass Marina
After two nights in Cong we travelled on with some doubt about where to sleep for the night. We ended up at the Marina at Terryglass. Not sure what to classify this stop as - there is no formal Aires but I had established that despite the No Overnighting signs, the Waterways authority does allow motorhomes to stop over. I had it in writing. What is more it is possible to buy a facilities card to enable use of the toilets on the river sites. The No Overnight signs are targeted at others, at undesirables aka Travellers, apparently. I felt uncomfortable at the discrimination and not happy about our stay, though unsure where else to go as we could not find a caravan site open in the area.
So, not an Aires but perhaps not really "wild" either - but parked in a car park with permission.
