Budding sycamore

Very few photos taken today (although there are some nettle flowers taken this morning on a first abortive walk in the extras) as we've been preoccupied with other things when walking. First off, we've been trying to get a gps device working properly and we resorted to watching videos on youtube and a lot of trial and error before we now think it's doing more or less what we want it to do. We shouldn't really buy two tricky toys at the same time. Getting them working places an inordinate amount of strain on our relationship....

Latterly, I wasn't in the mood for taking photos when we finally did get out for an evening walk with the gps doing what it was supposed to do, as I also wanted to see how long it would take to do a 4km walk round the paths that took 1 hr 15 mins (according to mapmyhike) one month post-op. 50 mins is the good news. That's a fair old improvement.

And the other good news is that leaving it until the evening to do the walk secured us much better weather and even a smidgeon of sunshine. If we'd done it when originally intended we would have got cold and wet.

Win, win, really.
