Tits Down

EASTER SUNDAY

We were having a relaxing Sunday afternoon indoors when suddenly there was the loud bang of a bird strike on the front window. On quick inspection we saw two tiny blue tits - one lying upside down in the hedge and another one laid on the stone steps to the front door.

Harriet and I dashed outside and picked them up warming them and stroking them in our our hands. They soon came round and before long were standing up and pooing on our palms.

Soon, one of the parent birds appeared. We put the fledglings in a bush and in turn they flew off with the adult birds.

To complicate matters, one of the neighbours cats took a keen interest in proceedings and had to be escorted from the scene.

Hopefully a happy ending on Easter Day.
