Heron

The heron is not usually on the rocks in the afternoon .... today must be the exception. The tide was on the way out but I still had to wade a bit (in my wellies of course) to get as close as I could before the heron took flight. As usual by the time I found the heron in my viewfinder he had just about flown out of shot.

The other extra is our neighbour's granddaughter enjoying herself in the sand.

Packing up and heading home tomorrow ..... back to housework, gardening, dog walking and patchwork class.
L and I have a few trips planned for the coming weeks ... weather permitting of course!
