A sunny day in the tulip fields
A day with Bella, Evan, and their mom in fields of color and bright sun. A thousand or more other people had the same idea on this first sunny Saturday in many months, so the fields were alive with human bodies. There are prohibitions against picking the flowers, but Bella began collecting fallen petals and flowers that had been broken off accidentally. She examined the various shapes and shades and tried to figure out whether different colors have different fragrances. "I'm a petal-explorer," she declared. "I'm going to collect enough petals to make a book of tulip petals and keep them forever!" Chapter One of her book is the Extra.
